Insurance Agent

FLSA STATUS

Exempt.

SUMMARY

Provides new sales for Agency in premium dollars.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Solicit new business by phone and in-person visits with prospects
  2. Collect/process information necessary for underwriting
  3. Provide service to clients by phone, E-mail or in-person visits on an as-needed basis.
  4. Revise, develop and implement marketing strategies
  5. Assign work to Customer Service Representative
  6. Collect premiums from clients
  7. Engage in activities to increase insurance knowledge and maintain licensing (seminars, webinars, etc.)

Customer Service Representative

Description: Handle all account transactions, invoicing, including applications, policy changes, issue binders and certificates.Respond to client inquires, incoming mail, have a direct working relationship companies representatives, underwriters and agents. Our CSRs are our agents right hands, they work very closely with their agents so they must be very detailed oriented and skilled in problem solving.

Account Manager for Commercial Business

SUMMARY

The Account Manager is responsible for providing the best customer service to assigned clients and assisting the Agent/Producer as requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide service to assigned clients via telephone or email on an as-need basis

2. Collect information needed to generate insurance quotes & quote additional coverages as requested

3. Enter data into appropriate computer system and prepare monthly reports

4. Track renewal dates for assigned clients

5. Ensure all coverages are bound

6. Assist Agent/Producer with premium collection efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma (or GED) required.

  • Prior Insurance Experience/P&C License preferred but not required. Insurance license must be obtained after hire if not currently licensed.

  • Basic Math skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to clients, employees and members of the business community.

Accounting Clerk II

SUMMARY

Entry-level position as an Accounting Clerk

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the banking every morning for ACH/wires/credit cards and withdrawals for both companies. This also includes:
    • Helping with ACH/wire transfers
    • Maintaining an ACH tracking spreadsheet for everyday ACH’s
  • Daily cash sheets – entering receipts into EPIC for both companies
  • Weekly AP/disbursements in EPIC for both companies
  • Enter journal entries for the Auto Loans for Marvin Johnson
  • Contact insurance companies or vendors when required
  • Insurance Commissions for Johnson-Witkemper by retrieving downloads and commissions statements online and entering into EPIC for reconciliation
  • Scan documents into EPIC for safe storage

SUMMARY

Performs routine clerical work, answers telephones, receives the public, and provides assistance to clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Answer telephone and direct callers to the appropriate associate or department.
  2. Receive the public and answer questions; respond to inquiries from clients and others as appropriate and refer, when necessary, to the appropriate person, or department.
  3. Deliver mail to and pick up mail from Post Office.
  4. Process and distribute mail.
  5. Enter data into appropriate computer system.
  6. Assist public with the use of facilities.
  7. Notify and/or deliver incoming packages to end recipient.
  8. Maintain safe and clean reception area.
  9. Process certificates of coverage.
  10. Assist others in Agency with clerical tasks as needed.
